What is Click-to-Connect?

The Click-to-Connect feature, featured in the preview pane of Outlook and Outlook Express, gives you at-a-glance information an e-mail contact and allows you to help build your address book.

Click-to-Connect is a great way to make Plaxo a part of your daily e-mail routine.

What does the Click-to-Connect icon tell me and what happens when I click it?

  • Processing:
    This contact was sent a Plaxo Update Request, and has not responded as of your last synchronization.
  • Unknown Member:
    This person is a Plaxo member, however they are not connected to your through your Plaxo Network.
    • To link to this person, simply click on the Click-to-Connect button to add them to your address book.
  • Up-to-Date:
    This person was sent a Plaxo Update Request, and has responded with up-to-date information.
  • Connected:
    This person is a Plaxo member and is currently in your address book. If they have attached a photo to their Plaxo Cards, you should be able to see their picture on the Click-to-Connect button.
  • Unknown Contact:
    This person is not a Plaxo member and is not in your address book.
    • Click on the "Click-to-Connect" button to add them to your address book and/or request updated information.
